Let’s send love to our teachers!

Get ready to celebrate Teacher’s Appreciation Month! This is an event spanning from October 5th to November 20th, bridging both World and Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. These two occasions were established in 1962 and 1982 respectively, and have been celebrated yearly ever since to remind teachers that, as learners, we deeply value their work.
This is your chance to show your gratitude towards your dear teachers!

Are you ready to spread joy this Teacher’s Appreciation Month? Picture the happiness on your most cherished teacher’s face when they receive a heartfelt note from you. With the aid of our Google Forms, composing and sending personalized letters has never been easier!

This is the opportune time to let your emotions take the lead; pour your heart out, whether it’s a short reflection or a lengthy, detailed message. The form is now open to WISers inside of Wellspring Saigon. Make this Teacher’s Appreciation Month a bit more memorable, and share your heartfelt sentiments!

Teachers are similar to heroes– not all of them wear capes. From teaching us our ABCs, to the basics of mandatory subjects. They lay the foundation of what we know today. Incredible teachers are found in every corner, every classroom of the world. You may be familiar with the learning center Kumon, but do you know the story of the teacher behind it? Toru Kumon– a Japanese math teacher, was the mastermind behind this program. What started as simple worksheets to help his son with his math skills, later became the “Kumon Learning Technique”. From then on, Kumon opened multiple learning centers in Japan. These centers are all over the world to this day, aiding students by providing them with the learning material suited for their level. Toru Kumon went from being an ordinary math teacher, to one that filled the gaps in educational systems worldwide.

As Arne Duncan once said, “Wherever you find something extraordinary, you’ll find the fingerprints of a teacher.”

It’s your choice if the letter is anonymous, signed, or if the letter is on behalf of everybody in your class! The letter can be dedicated to one teacher, or many. Tell everyone about your favorite moments, what you like most about your teacher, or show your appreciation of their passion for their teaching. You may use Vietnamese or English in your letter. Essentially, write to your heart’s content.

Make this month memorable, head to this Google Form and express your appreciation for teachers:
